Menu Planning Monday


So last week I didn't stick to my menu what so ever! But I did manage to eat out of the pantry!! So that was a good thing :)
This week, I stole most of my recipes from one of my favorite Menu Planning sites, What's for Dinner? What I like most about her blog now is how she is putting her calories with her recipes, and I'm trying to get off this baby weight and then some!! I'm going to TRY and come back after I make a meal and post my review of the recipes, so be sure to come back and check often :)

Monday:  Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken, Corn on the Cob & Baked Beans
Tuesday:  Oven Fried Chicken, Cheddar Potato Strips and a salad
Wednesday: Leftovers
Thursday:  Creamy Ranch Pork Chops, Ranch Rice and Cheesy Broccoli
Friday:  Pizza Burgers, Oven Baked Fries, and a salad
Saturday:  Parmesan Crusted Chicken w/Cream Sauce, a salad, and apple sauce

Menu Planning Monday



I'm going to see how well I can do by avoiding going to the grocery store this week!!! So here is my plan eating out of the pantry and freezer!

Monday: Lemon Garlic Turkey Tenderloin w/Roasted Chicken Rice
Tuesday: Chicken Stir-Fry
Wednesday: Pork Cubed Steaks w/Roasted Potatoes and Corn
Thursday: Chicken Enchilada's
Friday: Pork Chops with Veggie Fried Rice and Peas

I'm back!!!

So I have been MIA for quite sometime now! I keep having these great intentions of coming back, getting myself organized (LOL), and blogging more! You see, I have this addiction to blogs, I find myself bouncing back and forth throughout the day from blog to blog! I tend to find myself liking cooking, organizing and housewife blogs. But you know...I'm not sure if I had a point of where I was going with this haha Oh well!! See my thoughts are even unorganized!!!

But I'm going to sit down this weekend, and make up a do able daily to-do list! Things I want/need to start doing every day to get my life back on track!!  I've been having a real hard time trying to decide where I wanted to start with this whole organizing thing, but there are so many blogs having weekly challenges, it has just got too overwhelming, and I wasn't sure what would work for me! I'm not sure which blog I read it on, but someone mentioned the book Organize Now by Jennifer For Berry, and the little bit of reading I have been doing...I think I have found my way to become organized!!! I like how she has it broken down by week, and she starts you off in the first four weeks organizing yourself first!! And BOY do I need that!! Every week has "This Week's Goals", and then every week has a "Stay Organized" section, which breaks down things you need to do Once a month, Every 3-6 months and Once a year! And of course there are Tips galore throughout the whole book :) I'm going to be using my blog as my journal of how things go :) May be a few break downs along the way, and hopefully a lot of successes (is that even a word?).

Menu Planning Monday



I haven't planned a menu in over a month...it's time to get back to it! I'm trying to cook out of my house this next month! I'm only allowing myself to buy fresh produce and milk and cheese as needed. I have enough of everything else in my house and freezer that I shouldn't need to buy anything besides the above!

Monday - BBQ Ribs with a green salad
Tuesday - Frozen Healthy Choice meal - Grilled Chicken Monterey
Wednesday - Chicken Kabobs, Grilled Eggplant & baked potato
Thursday - Turkey Sausage, Hashbrowns & peaches
Friday - Chicken Pesto Pasta with peas
Saturday - Out of town
Sunday - Hamburger Gravy over mashed potatoes and a vegetable

Been MIA

I've been absent from my blog now for over a month, it's time to "refocus" and start blogging once again! Not much has changed in a month...I'm still unorganized as ever! I'm realizing something about myself, I read too much on how to gain control of my house again, and just get too overwhelmed, along with the overwhelming amount I have to do in my home.

I have a ton going on this week, but I'm focusing on smaller projects...one room at a time! My main goal this week is to just keep things picked up!

Today's To-Do-List
DOWN STAIRS LIVING ROOM/DINING ROOM
  • pick-up the floor 
  • vacuum
  • clear off dining room table and polish
  • clear off computer desk and polish
  • dust
  • wipe down walls
  • wipe down front door & door frames
  • wash inside of windows
OTHER CHORES
  • Finish one load of laundry (wash-dry-fold-put away)
  • Zumba at 6:30 pm
I have also decided to start rewarding myself! Like most homes, we have tons of change in jars all over the place, so I have decided I'm going to have at least 10 items on my to-do list daily, for every item I complete by the end of the day, I'm going to give myself 10 cents. So if I complete everything on my to-do list that day...I'll have made a $1...and by the end of the month, I'll have made at least $30 (if my to-do lists are done!), and then I'm going to treat myself to something I want!

Menu Planning Monday


These next couple weeks are going to be pretty boring menus! I'm challenging myself to not buy any food this week, and eat what is already in the cupboard! Although two nights I will be eating out most likely.

Monday:  Left Overs
Tuesday: Eating out (I have a chiropractor appointment at 5, so I'll just eat in town)
Wednesday:  Murphy’s Hot Hamburger
Thursday:  Breakfast - Bacon & Hash-browns and probably some form of fruit
Friday:  Crock pot ribs, Rice & Veggie
Saturday:  Going to a party at Through the Wooden Gate
Sunday: Pasta & Meatballs in Marinara Sauce - Sorry it's out of box...hopefully it tastes alright!

I'm going to try and post "What's on my plate" for the whole world to see this week!
